Electronics circuits from On Board to On Body !!

Long back I have seen Pranav Mistry TED talk and from that day I am a big fan of TED talk. This post is also about  TEDx talk by Matt Johnson.

I was surfing Indiblogger and come to know about The Idea Caravan. Which is sponsored by Franklin Templeton Investments partnered the TEDxGateway Mumbai in December 2012.

I was watching videos on http://www.ftideacaravan.com/ and I stumbled upon Matt Johnson’s TED talk – http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3U0gUOxnbqs.

Matt describe idea of implementing electronics circuits on body, Yes it’s BODY not BOARD. Normally we see electronics circuits on Printed circuit board. This innovative idea is all about electronics on body or on paper board they developed such material which we can use as simple paint and if you want to design your own small electronics circuit you just have to use this paint and bingo !. You have need not to learn Electronics PCB designing tools for layout or so just paint however you want to draw and this material is capable enough to turn LEDs ON and OFF. It can also be used as a signal track.

If you go thorough the video Matt shows the innovative use of such paint on craft project and Touch Pad.

I have some crazy idea based on this electronics innovation.

• You can replace your switchboard by your own painted switchboard.
• You can paint floor which such ink which is capable to sense light and if you are stepping out of room without turning off Home Appliances like FAN or LIGHT it will automatically turn it off.
• Using this ink on Door for security ;  You have to draw some pattern on specific portion of door to LOCK/UNLOCK.
